An upgraded borehole water treatment system – Dacre

Springbore were contacted to service an existing artesian borehole water filtration system supplying 4 houses in Dacre, North Yorkshire. After years of poor quality water and service from another company the client decided it was time for a change.
On arrival the treated water was tested and found to be 20 times the recommended limit for iron.
There were numerous faults with the system including incorrect flow path of filtration, faulty control valves, burst pressure vessels and exhausted filter media.
It was apparent at this stage that trying to rectify all of the faults on the system would be uneconomical.
Springbore designed and installed a new system to remove the high levels of iron and manganese and also soften the water. The flow and pressure of water is now much improved and the water quality is well within the drinking water standard limits.

Change of water supply – Delph

A change of water supply completed by Springbore engineers. The client in Delph, Saddleworth was on a surface derived water supply which suffered from high levels of organic colour. The supply often ran dry during the summer months leaving the household with no water for weeks on end.
